Meet senior communications consultant, Camille Downing. Camille’s vast knowledge of the communications industry makes her as a superb consultant.
With over 35 years of experience under her belt, Camille’s work has garnered numerous awards, including International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Silver Quill Awards, IABC Golden Triangle Awards and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Awards.
She has served as Director of Marketing and Development at D.T. Watson Rehabilitation, Corporate Communications Coordinator at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center and Fund Development Specialist/Editorial at Presbyterian-University Hospital. Her past experience led her to building her own personal brand, Downing Communications. In addition to consulting, Camille teaches undergraduate, graduate and online courses at Point Park University, including public relations strategic planning and writing, non-profit communication, media relations, freelance communication, integrated marketing communication, event planning and social media crisis communication.
As an active member of the communications field, Camille also contributes to several professional organizations. She is currently part of IABC, holds committee chair for the Heritage Region Conference, a member of the Board Governance Work Group (at the international level), a member of the PRSA Pittsburgh chapter and an advisor of PRSSA at Point Park University.
Previously, Camille was a co-chair for the Heritage Region Conference, board member of the IABC Heritage Region, committee member of the Nominating Committee, chair for the IABC Heritage Regional and International, member of the IABC International Executive Board and president of the IABC Pittsburgh chapter.

Camille followed love to Pittsburgh where she got married. Since then, the city has offered several opportunities for Camille to establish herself as a communications professional and impressive college professor.
Aside from her award-winning work, Camille is an enthusiastic traveler and when she’s not traveling the world, she’s still out and about, whether she is attending a concert, going to church or hiking. She continues to add new places to the list of destinations she’s been to, including, New Orleans, Arizona and Iceland! Next on her list of places she wants to explore is Australia and New Zealand.
